The Canberra Collectables Fair
📅6 September 2026📍Garran Adventure Scout Hall, 123 Kitchener Street, Garran ACT.
The Canberra Collectables Fair is one of the ACT’s most active monthly events for PNC collectors, coin hunters, stamp enthusiasts, and postcard traders.
The fair is run in partnership with the ACT & District Coin Club , which means the PNC offerings are far deeper than standard Australia Post retail stock. These are some of the most sought-after items at the fair.
Dealers frequently bring hyper-limited PNCs created specifically for Canberra stamp shows, often with production runs as low as 100–150 units. Examples that regularly appear include:
- 2024 Canberra Stamp Show Set (NAIDOC, King Charles III, Sydney Swans themes).
- Resilience & Recovery $2 Set (highly traded among local dealers). These are premium finds for serious collectors.
Local Canberra-Themed PNCs - Because the fair is deeply tied to the ACT collecting community, local themes appear frequently: -
- 2013 Centenary of Canberra PNC - a foundational local piece.
- Military & Institutional Milestones, such as: - RMC Duntroon commemoratives - Parliament House anniversaries
Some PNCs were originally allocated only to club members or show supporters, making them rare on the secondary market. Expect to see items such as: - “Big Swoop” Magpie PNC - 2022 Coloured $2 Ambulance PNC . Both are highlighted as highly sought-after variations at these events.
Held on the first Sunday of every month (February through November).
- 6 September 2026
- 4 October 2026
- 1 November 2026.

Moonee Ponds Monthly Coin Fair – Melbourne
📅6 September 2026📍 5 Kellaway Avenue, Moonee Ponds VIC.
A friendly community fair featuring coin swaps, local dealers, and great finds for collectors at every level.
The fair features a close-knit group of professional Victorian coin and stamp dealers—including regulars like Nova Coins and Rare Coins Melbourne—offering Australian decimal/pre-decimal coins, tokens, banknotes, and vintage stamps.
On-the-spot expert coin valuations and appraisals are available if you bring your own collection items to the floor.
PNC Strategy: Because this event is smaller than an official capital-city ANDA expo, it won't feature a pop-up Australia Post stall selling brand-new daily releases. However, it is one of the absolute best recurring spots in Melbourne to sift through dealer binders to find older, retired, or hard-to-find back-issue PNCs without paying online shipping premiums.
Held on the first Sunday of every month.
- 6 September 2026
- 4 October 2026
- 1 November 2026
- 6 December 2026
